The article “You Cannot be what you Cannot See: the International Network of Women in Cooling’s Role in Workforce”, authored by Colleen Keyworth, INWIC President, highlights the underrepresentation of women in the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) sector, where they make up only 6% of the workforce. It explores barriers women face, including limited awareness of RACHP careers, gender biases, and a lack of role models. The article also discusses how INWIC, founded in 2022, is addressing these challenges by promoting female participation and supporting career development.
